Michael Lloyd signed his first music publishing deal at the age of 13 and signed with Epic to cut his album, October Country , when he was 18.
Taking the title October Country from a book by Ray Bradbury, he then bestowed the name upon a harmony pop group called The Last Two to front his erudite Jimmy Webb-like pop – heavily influenced by The Beach Boys, The Beatles and The Four Seasons.
When some of the musicians didn’t show up, he recorded the album almost single-handedly.
