Hullabaloo

Hullabaloo premiered on 12 January 1965 and aired until 29 August the same year. The NBC show was a big-budget, quality showcase for the leading pop acts of the day, and was also competition for another like-minded television showcase, ABC's Shindig!.

The show featured The Hullabaloo Dancers, 10 good-looking dancer regulars - six girls and four boys - who became very popular.

A different host presided each week - including Paul Anka, Jack Jones, Frankie Avalon, Annette Funicello, Jerry Lewis and others - and for the first three months the show included a segment from London hosted by Beatles' manager Brian Epstein.
