Crazy Like a Fox was a CBS detective show starring Jack Warden as Harry Fox - a private eye/con artist who forever got his conservative attorney son tangled up in his capers and cases. 

Not that the son was all that crazy about getting involved, since the situation often grew quickly beyond free legal help to physical danger. 

Actor John Rubinstein (Family) played Harrison K. Fox, offspring of the wily but endearing Harry.
