On their way home from the Isle of Wight Pop Festival, five hippies – Jeff (Peter Marinker), Trev (Dick Haydon), Mick (Nigel Anthony), Marty (Liz White) and Cathy (Noelle Rimmington) – pitch their tent in the grounds of a mansion belonging to Rafe Bates (Mike McStay), a young aristocrat.
He befriends the group and accepts their offer to redecorate his house while he is away (he only comes down to the house at weekends).
Once Rafe leaves, the squatters plot to organise a pop festival in the grounds of the house.
Attempting to raise cash for the venture, the men coerce their girlfriends into making a blue movie, but when this proves disastrous Jeff goes to London and poses as a pop journalist in order to book some groups for the festival.
This extremely rare film was directed by the exploitation legend Stanley Long and features cult British rock bands Juicy Lucy and Crazy Mabel. It’s an unusual mix of pop festival documentary and saucy teen comedy.
