This 1988 made-for-television movie was originally titled Philly Boy and featured former It’s Your Move and The Hogan Family star Jason Bateman as gutsy 18-year-old high school dropout Philly Patillo, who is left struggling to make ends meet after he’s forced to take responsibility for his high school sweetheart, Michelle (Maura Tierney) and their 18-month-old son.
He’s drawn into a life of violent crime after Mafia boss Anthony D’Amato (Sly’s brother, Frank Stallone) offers him a job on the waterfront – but has a change of heart.
However, his mission to extricate himself from the criminal underworld proves difficult.
