    Cyclops, The (1957)

    Lovely Susan Winter (Gloria Talbott) engages pilot Lee Brand (Tom Drake) and organises an expedition deep into the wilds of Mexico in the hope of finding her aviator fiancé, lost after his plane crashed.

    Instead, she and her three male companions – Brand, scientist Russ Bradford (James Craig) and manipulative wheeler-dealer and wannabe uranium millionaire Martin Melville (Lon Chaney Jr) – find behemoth bugs, giant battling lizards . . . and mountains practically glowing with uranium.

    They also discover that Susan’s fiancé has mutated into a 25-foot-tall beast with a single eye, a melted-cheese-sandwich face and a very scary attitude.

    Director Bert I Gordon also wrote and produced the picture.
