“Welcome to Potters Bluff”
Tourists and visitors to the sleepy coastal town of Potters Bluff, Maine, are being brutally murdered by the locals. What’s more perturbing is that they are then coming back to life – with the aid of the local mortician (Jack Albertson) – not as zombies but as normal friendly folk, acting as though nothing happened.
The Local Sheriff (James Farentino) investigates and discovers the secrets of the quiet coastal town in this creepy gore-filled horror film with a sense of humour and an intriguing twist ending.
The superb graphic effects were by Stan Winston.
This was Jack Albertson’s final theatrical film (although he filmed another made-for-television movie the same year he died). In poor health, and suffering from cancer all through filming, Albertson passed away a few months after this movie’s release. A pre-Nightmare on Elm Street Robert Englund co-stars in a small role.
