This sequel to Emmanuelle (1974), further involved our titular sexually liberated heroine (Sylvia Kristel) in more sexual feats set against some magnificent settings in the Far East.
The film is almost devoid of plot – after two months of separation, Emmanuelle travels to Hong Kong to join her French Ambassador husband Jean (Umberto Orsini) – but we so get to see Emmanuelle making love to a heavily tattooed polo player in the deserted dressing room following his injury on the field; Emmanuelle acquiring much sexual satisfaction through acupuncture while a male companion just sits and watches; Emmanuelle savouring the delights of a black ballet teacher (Sterling St. Jacques) while she watches his private collection of erotic lesbian slides; and Emmanuelle, her husband, and a virgin girlfriend (who they both fancy) lapping up the attentions of three naked Asian beauties in a massage parlour as they slip and slide up and down their naked bodies – an experience which stimulates the young blonde virgin into finally submitting herself to Emmanuelle and Jean.
It has no real story, but plenty of exciting scenery, both bodily and scenically. Genuinely erotic, this is one of the best of the softcore genre.
Originally released as Emmanuelle: L’antivierge and later re-released in the US as Emmanuelle: The Joys of a Woman.
