On the death of their father, David (Eric Foster) and Lynn (Kim Valentine) are taken to live with their only known relatives, their Grandmother (Ida Lee) and Grandfather (Len Lesser), in rural California.
Strange things begin to happen in the house and David thinks he sees his grandparents disposing of a dead body. At the same time, a mysterious woman (Brinke Stevens) begins stalking the children.
It eventually turns out that she’s their mother – who they believed was dead – who has recently escaped from a psychiatric hospital and is dangerous.
This low budget mystery thriller is certainly not fast-paced – The whole film takes place over a span of two days, largely in daylight, and much of the action is staged in orange groves and irrigation canals. And by the time you understand the twist ending, very little about the movie makes any sense.
