The disappearance of UNCLE agent Robert Kingsley (Barry Sullivan) and the abduction of five prominent scientists lead Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn) and Illya Kuryakin (David McCallum) to the Himalayan headquarters of a man intent on taking over the world.
Stretched to feature length from a couple of TV episodes by Norman Hudis (the pioneering Carry On scriptwriter), this was the last Man from UNCLE picture produced by MGM, with Vaughn and McCallum looking very bored after four years of tongue-in-cheek espionage.
Barry Sullivan runs through all the tricks of arch-villainy as a rogue agent, abducting five mind-control experts whose knowledge is central to his plans for world domination.
Despite guests of the calibre of Eleanor Parker and Leslie Nielsen, the series ended on a distinctly flat note.
