A band of satanist hippies – led by the demented Horace Bones (Bhaskar Roy Chowdhury) – roll into the little town of Valley Hill which has been largely abandoned due to the construction of a new dam.
They molest local girl Sylvia (Arlene Farber, billed as Iris Brooks) and her elderly veterinarian grandpa (Richard Bowler) goes after them. He fails and is beaten up and given LSD.
This bothers his 12-year-old grandson, Pete (Riley Mills) who takes revenge on the hippies by feeding them meat pies infected with blood from a rabid dog.
They turn into crazed lunatics and begin killing and infecting everything in their path. All Hell breaks loose when one of the female hippies gang-bangs the construction workers from the dam and infects the lot of them.
The dialogue and acting are terrible but the gore is plentiful and outrageous, with multiple decapitations, impalement, disembowelment, stabbings and electric carving knife action.
The film was shot in the village of Sharon Springs in upstate New York. Many of the locations for the film, including the old hotel, were set to be demolished but were kept standing long enough for the film production.
