This prime piece of 1970s Drive-In schlock was filmed in just six days. And it shows.
Dr Roger Girard (Bruce Dern) is a rich scientist, obsessed with conducting experiments in the grafting and transplantation of animal heads. He is assisted by Max (Berry Kroeger).
Girard’s caretaker (Larry Vincent) has a son, Danny (John Bloom), who, although fully grown, has the mind of a child.
One day an escaped psycho-killer (Albert Cole) invades Girard’s home, tries to rape the Doc’s beautiful blonde wife, Linda (Pat Priest aka Marilyn Munster) and kills Danny’s father before being gunned down himself.
With the maniac dying and Danny deeply unsettled by his father’s death, Dr Girard decides to take the final step and transplant the killer’s head onto Danny’s body.
Of course, things go horribly wrong and the two-headed creature escapes to terrorise the countryside.
Obviously this is a bad movie. But it does what it says on the tin. And Casey Kasem is in it. Of course, he is!
