In the small town of Peckham, California, men are dropping like flies – all dying of heart failure through over-exhaustion while having very energetic sex.
When a scientist from the Brandt research laboratory is found dead in a motel room, the government sends federal agent Neil Agar (William Smith) to investigate the mysterious deaths.
He suspects that the deaths may be related to some experiments of Dr Susan Harris (Anitra Ford), who is researching bees in the Brandt facility.
The women of Peckham are gradually being mutated into a swarm of black-eyed “bee women” led by Dr Harris. The pleasure the bee girls provide during sex is too much for a man’s heart.
The librarian at the laboratory, Julie Zorn, is played by 1968 Playboy Playmate of the Year, Victoria Vetri. Bare breasts and buttocks abound.
The dialogue is terrible, and the sex scenes are awkward, but the outfits are fantastic, and it’s a fun, campy slice of 70s sexploitation at its best.
