This smarter-than-usual made-for-television movie – aired as an ABC Movie of the Week on Tuesday 19 November 1974 – is a saucy comedy of errors about mild-mannered real estate salesman Harry Walters (Paul Sorvino), who is raped at gunpoint by an attractive woman (Jo Anna Cameron). She dumps him at the side of the highway, completely naked.
The newspapers have a field day, and nobody believes his story – least of all his wife (Michael Learned from The Waltons).
But that’s just the start of his troubles, which worsen when the woman shows up again to return his wallet and humiliates him further by showing him she was using a toy gun.
Against the advice of his wife and his lawyer, Harry decides to have his day in court.
With the help of the reporter who wrote the story about him, Harry finds the woman – and finds himself in worse trouble than ever. She now claims that Harry was the aggressor.
