A comedy thriller starring John Slater in the title role as a gormless lorry driver accused of murdering an attractive hitchhiker he picked up.
He and Alfred Marks – as the wise-cracking owner of a joke shop – pack the film with broad Cockney humour, while strong-woman Joan Rhodes performs some of the feats of strength which always delighted TV audiences of the time.
