Around the World under the Sea (1965)

Apocalyptic tidal waves caused by earthquakes threaten to destroy the world’s coastal cities, and the fate of the earth is in the hands of five virile, good looking scientists and a dedicated, serious-minded but mind-blowingly beautiful blonde aboard a state-of-the-art nuclear-powered submarine travelling at great depths to set up earthquake warning systems on the seabed.

Lloyd Bridges stars as the leader of the perilous mission.

The crew includes Shirley (Goldfinger) Eaton, schemer David McCallum, and misanthrope Keenan Wynn.

The intrepid team confronts all the wonders and terrors of the deep ocean – rock formations that are both beautiful and treacherous, a giant moray eel, and a spouting volcano sucking them into its fiery crater.

Filmed on the Great Barrier Reef (Australia) and in Florida and the Bahamas, Around the World Under the Sea features spectacular underwater photography and special effects.
