Construction workers on a Caribbean island unearth a caveman, a Brontosaurus and a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
The friendly caveman (Gregg Martell) befriends young orphan Julio (Alan Roberts), and the two find a way to see off both the dinosaurs and a bunch of comical villains.
Any film that ends with the baddies being dispatched by custard pies in the face can’t be that serious, but this has some nice colour photography and interesting (if variable) special effects.
The climax sees a memorable duel between the Tyrannosaurus and construction boss Bart Thompson (Ward Ramsey) driving a steam shovel.
Dinosaur footage from this film was used on several episodes of the 1960s comedy TV series It’s About Time.
