An eccentric young inventor helps a couple of classmates pass an exam using a study-while-asleep technique he has perfected on his pet chimpanzee. Then he is challenged to invent a flying machine.
Stanley the chimp is the real star of this droopy Disney sequel to The Misadventures of Merlin Jones (1964), in which Tommy Kirk helps two kids pass a test and constructs a bike-powered flying machine.
The chimp gets the best of it, spending most of the movie in the arms Annette Funicello. The latter dropped her surname on the billing, but it didn’t help her acting much.
