    Palm Springs Weekend (1963)

A group of college kids with raging hormones head to the desert resort of Palm Springs in California for the Easter weekend, looking for fun with members of the opposite sex.

Among those heading to Palm Springs are a college basketball team including medical student Jim Munroe (Troy Donahue) and comedian Biff Roberts (Jerry Van Dyke); Texan cowboy and Hollywood stuntman Doug “Stretch” Fortune (Ty Hardin); Eric Dean (Robert Conrad), a rich and troubled playboy neglected by his equally playboy father; Beverly Hills socialite and Hawaii college student Gayle Lewis (Connie Stevens), who is not all she appears to be; and tomboy Amanda North (Zeme North).

Chief of Police Dixon (Andrew Duggan), the official ruler of order in Palm Springs, dreads the annual influx of spring break teens – even more so this year because his pretty daughter Bunny (Stefanie Powers), is now the same age as the town’s invaders.

The “unofficial” ruler of order in town is Naomi Yates (Carole Cook), the proprietor of one of the local motels where the kids stay, who has enough to handle already taking care of her precocious 9-year-old son “Boom-Boom” (future Lost In Space star Billy Mumy).

Romance is in the air for everyone, even Naomi who gets to have a fling with basketball coach Fred Campbell (Jack Weston).

Palm Springs Weekend featured the uncredited screen debut of Dawn Wells (who appeared the following year as Mary Ann in Gilligan’s Island) and Linda Gray (who found fame in the 1980s as Sue Ellen Ewing in Dallas).
