Touch Of Love, A (1969)

Rosamund (Sandy Dennis) is an independent-minded young woman studying for a doctorate in London. She spends a lot of time in the British Museum.

After a fumble with journalist George (Ian McKellen in his movie debut), she falls pregnant and must cope with the trials of single motherhood.

Her main solace in this drama comes from her eccentric friend Lydia (Eleanor Bron).

A Touch Of Love wasn’t hugely successful and Amicus never attempted to make anything like it again.
