Jason, presumed dead after being axed in the head in Friday the 13th, Part 3, is taken to the local morgue where he springs to life and kills a couple of doctors.

We then leave Jason behind and follow a newly divorced woman who moves into a cabin at Crystal Lake with her responsible and pretty teenage daughter, Trish (Kimberly Beck), and her artistically gifted 12-year-old son, Tommy (Corey Feldman).

Tommy designs his own ghoulish masks and seems to have a fascination with monsters.

A group of teenagers have rented the summer house next door for a good time. There are two girls in the group and four boys. The two girls have their love interests already among the group, which leaves Teddy (Lawrence Monoson) and Jimmy (Crispin Glover) out of luck.

That is until two beautiful twin girls cross their path and everything seems balanced.

The adult brother of one of the girls who was killed in the last film turns up and camps on the property, informing Trish that Jason is on the loose again.

When night falls, the drunk and horny teenagers next door get picked off one by one. When their bodies are discovered by Trish and the camper, they try to prepare the house for Jason’s arrival.

After more killings, Jason finally meets his match in the form of Tommy Jarvis who kills the mass murderer with a taste of his own machete.
