Clerks (1994)

22-year-old Dante (Brian O’Halloran) agrees to work in the convenience store where he is employed on his day-off. From the moment he arrives at work it is clear that the day will consist of a string of mishaps, irritations and disasters.

Faux-indie cinema hailed only because of its amateurish acting and poor production values.

Hailed as a genius by high school rebels, Kevin Smith is regarded by film purists as a director that should keep his ego in check and remain doing what he is more proficient at: writing.
