When limousine driver Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) gets the sack, he persuades his roommate Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) to drive him to Aspen in pursuit of an attractive woman passenger (Lauren Holly) who left a briefcase behind.
The duo – two of the world’s stupidest people – embark on a variety of adventures before discovering the briefcase is full of dollar bills.
With Jim Carrey, there are no half measures. So you’ll either love this as one of Carrey’s finest moments or loathe it as a perfect example of mind-numbing Hollywood cinema.
However, even the harshest critic will find it hard to suppress at least a couple of chuckles during this cheerfully moronic mix of slapstick, sight gags and toilet humour.
Disengage the brain and enjoy.
