Private investigator Milo (Kostas Karagiorgis billed as Costa Skouras) and priest Father Roche (Donald Pleasence) begin a search for a number of young tourists and archaeology students who go missing from a Greek village. It is never satisfactorily explained how a Catholic priest with an Irish accent is living in a remote part of a Greek Orthodox country.
It turns out that Baron Corofax (Peter Cushing) is running a satanic cult in the name of the ancient Minotaur, and performing human sacrifices. It seems that everyone in the village is involved, including the local policeman, Sgt Vendris (Fernando Bislani dubbed by Robert Rietty).
Despite featuring some nice location shooting in Greece, Land of the Minotaur (released in some markets as The Devil’s Men) isn’t really much of a film. It does, however, feature an experimental soundtrack from Brian Eno.
