The tale of three 17-year-old boys – Benji (Yiftach Katzur), Bobby (Jonathan Segal) and Hughie (Zacki Noy) – desperately trying to reach manhood in the late 50s while spending their time in ice cream parlours, revelling in rock ‘n’ roll and coming to terms with the opposite sex.
Through their sad, yet hilarious adventures, they learn about life, love and women. Their escapades reach a climax through the bubbly good nature of a prostitute.
The superb soundtrack features Paul Anka, Bill Haley, Little Richard, The Chordettes, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bobby Vinton and Frankie Laine.
The film was made in Israel but is so chock full of American idioms and cultural references that it may as well have been shot in New York. Released in some markets as Going All The Way.
