A young knight by the name of Robert Nerra sets out to join King Richard’s crusaders. Along the way, he encounters The Black Prince (Gabriel Byrne) who captures children and sells them as slaves to the Muslims.
It is Robert Nerra’s sworn duty to protect the children and lead them to safety.
Teen star Stoltz (Mask, Some Kind Of Wonderful) headlines as the young knight who disgraces his honour and tries to salvage it with a crusade of his own.
The plot is paper thin and often seems to disappear entirely, but this big-budget teen adventure definitely benefits from an appealing and varied cast.
Much of the story lapses into triteness at times, but half the fun of this film is spotting the up-and-coming faces.
