The Motel Hello is owned by farming brother and sister Vincent (Rory Calhoun) and Ida (Nancy Parsons) Smith. Situated some distance from the main highway, the motel is not much in demand and Vincent and Ida get more return from the home-style produce from their farm.
They make delicious smoked meats that are sold under the slogan; “It takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincent fritters”.
Among the “critters” are human victims of highway accidents caused by the Smiths. Vincent and Ida also capture every drifter, prostitute and weirdo who comes their way.
These unfortunate people are buried in a concealed garden.
Unfortunately for the victims, they are not dead and farmer Vincent continues to feed them until they are ready for killing and smoking along with the pork and beef.
Luckier than the other victims is sweet young – but not so innocent – Terry (Nina Axelrod) to whom Vincent takes a fancy, letting her recover in the farmhouse.
A third member of the Smith family appears on the scene – Bruce (Paul Linke), who happens to be a deputy sheriff. He also falls for Terry, but it is Vincent who wins.
The concealed garden is eventually discovered by a government inspector, who then becomes a victim himself. Ultimately, however, the poor creatures in the garden find a chance to free themselves, and the demented group attack their tormentors in the slaughterhouse.
