Tansy Carr (18-year-old Juliet Mills) is the vivacious schoolgirl daughter of wealthy international industrialist Sir Matthew Carr (Michael Redgrave).
Tansy refuses to go to Paris to be “finished” and runs away with Cornelius Allingham (James Westmoreland, billed here as Rad Fulton), an American playboy who whirls her off on a motorbike tour of the Scottish Highlands.
She eventually falls in love with Thomas Barclay (Michael Craig), the hard-working young man who is sent to bring her back.
Produced by Betty Box and directed by Ralph Thomas, this unremarkable film had its premiere in London on Thursday 10 August 1961.
Watch out for an early uncredited appearance by Nyree Dawn Porter (as a typist).
