A group of cross-dressing bikers – Michael (John Alderman), David (Tom Basham), Eddie (Henry Olek), Arnold (Bruce Kimball), Ronnie (Maurice Warfield) and Henry (Robert Biheller) – wheel their way up the California coast to Los Angeles to attend a drag ball.
Along the way, they encounter a hitchhiker (Jackson Bostwick), some overbearing cops, and a gang of straight bikers (including Michael Pataki and future “Grizzly Adams” Dan Haggerty) and indulge in a food fight at a roadside hot dog stand.
It’s a low-budget independent film and the casting is odd, the acting is atrocious, the plot is non-existent and the biker costumes are awful. But it’s never boring and the trip is almost worth it for the totally unexpected downbeat ending.
