Ruth Warren (Jessica Dublin) is a rich, over-the-hill, once-popular actress in a blonde wig who doesn’t want to “rot away in this ugly carcass.”
Dr Gregory Ashton (John MacKay) – whose experiments she funds – uses serum from human brains to make her young, and she pretends she’s her own (fictitious) niece, Elizabeth (Vivian Lanko).
Unfortunately, there are mutating side effects. At first, she loses her hair, has a monster voice, and develops balloon-like skin.
Later, her face gets worse, her head gets bigger, she grows claws, her brain is exposed, and she begins to decapitate people and eat their throbbing brains!
Her long-time butler, Wilhelm (James Hogue), meanwhile, loves her with all his heart and doggedly remains by her side.
It’s Bride of Frankenstein meets Sunset Boulevard meets Re-Animator– although it gets pretty silly when coke-sniffing clubgoers in the ladies’ room don’t think that the monster/woman is anything special.
There’s also the all-girl Long Island heavy metal group The Poison Dollys and a rat puppet.
