A compelling portrayal by Jon Voight of a political subversive makes this worth the effort of watching.
As “A”, he moves from handing out revolutionary leaflets at college to an attempted assassination, in a moral tale that’s too one-track for its own good but, which, nevertheless, poses hard questions for would-be revolutionaries who might become terrorists.
Writer Hans Koningsberger and director Paul Williams highlight the way that anything can be excused by strongly held belief. And Voight makes the idea stick.
