Julian ‘Ves’ Vespucci (Jonathan Haze) finds a briefcase with a beat-up old can in it. He throws away the can and sells the suitcase to pawnbroker Samuel Alber (Edward Schaaf).
When Ves and his teenage buddies Jim (Yale Wexler) and Nick (Steven Marlo) read in the papers that the can contained 2lbs of uncut heroin and belonged to a drug dealer who killed two narcotics agents in a shootout, they go back to look for the can, find it, and decide – naively – to go into the heroin selling business.
However, the drug dealer and his gang also want the heroin back, find out the boys have it and set out to hunt them down and get back their dope.
The police are also out looking for them and the heroin – and in their case, it would be a lot better if the cops found them before mobster Mr Fennel (Herschel Bernardi) and his boys.
The film was financed by Roger Corman who was executive producer. He provided $15,000 of the budget.
