Wealthy blonde Southern belle April Delongpre (Sherilyn Fenn) is engaged to a preppy southern boy called Chad (Martin Hewitt) but has an affair with muscular carnival worker Perry (Richard Tyson) and falls head over heels for him.
Fenn (the niece of Detroit rocker Suzi Quatro) has several major nude scenes – and a lot of sex – and her character cries a lot.
With Millie Perkins as April’s loopy mother, Louise Fletcher as her grandma, Milla Jovovich (in her film debut) as her little sister, Kristy McNichol as an earthy bisexual cowgirl drifter with a great sense of humour, Burl Ives (in his last movie) as the sinister local Sheriff, and Herve Villechaize as carnival owner, Smiley.
Return to Two Moon Junction followed in 1995 with a different director and cast. Surprisingly, Louise Fletcher returned as Belle Delongpre.
