With the break up of The Bootleg Family Band in November 1975, Tony Naylor, Geoff Cox and Clive Harrison recruited Adrian Campbell and began gigging as Avalanche in early 1976.
The band’s catchy pop/rock sound was displayed on the singles Wizard Of Love (Feb 1976), Sweet Baby Brown Eyes (July 1976), Landslide (October 1976) and Good For Me Good For You (March 1977), and on their self-titled album in September 1976.
Cox and Harrison left in early 1977 to be replaced by John Barnes (who in turn was quickly replaced by Barry Cram) and Graham Thompson (ex-Stars) respectively.
Gerard McCabe also joined on keyboards, and this line-up released a version of The Beatles‘ Got To Get You Into My Life in November 1977.
By 1978, Naylor and Campbell had revamped the band as Front Page and issued the single I Thought I’d Never Fall In Love Again. But by 1979 it was all over.
