A teen-heartthrob duo with integrity, Climie Fisher got their name when they sandwiched together their surnames. Rob Fisher was a former member of Naked Eyes, whose version of Always Something There To Remind Me had been in the US Top 100 in 1983.
Simon Climie was the hit songwriter behind the 1987 #1 I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) by George Michael and Aretha Franklin, as well as songs for Pat Benatar and Jeff Beck, among others.
The sublime Love Changes Everything was a huge hit across the world and won an Ivor Novello award for Song Of The Year.
The duo split after their second album Coming In For The Kill (1989), and a solo Climie single, Soul Inspiration, didn’t see any chart action when released in 1992.
Rob Fisher passed away in 1999 at the age of 39.
