Formed in November 1963 and originally known as The Trendsetters, this short-lived quintet consisted of ex-members of the Royal Air Force.
Mike Tinsley, Ray Honeyball, Leslie Dash, Alan Laud and John Stewart were managed by Jonathan King, who wrote and produced their UK Top 5 hit It’s Good News Week in 1965.
A somewhat contrived cash-in on the then-current protest trend, the single was undeniably catchy but the group was unable to repeat its success.
Although a follow-up, Don’t Push Me, was given considerable airplay, it failed to chart and the band disbanded soon afterwards.
