Michael Lloyd signed his first music publishing deal at the age of 13 and signed with Epic to cut his album, October Country, when he was 18.
Taking the title October Country from a book by Ray Bradbury, he then bestowed the name upon a harmony pop group called The Last Two to front his erudite Jimmy Webb-like pop – heavily influenced by The Beach Boys, The Beatles and The Four Seasons.
When some of the musicians didn’t show up, he recorded the album almost single-handedly.
