Julius LaRosa had a mild career in the 1950s and here he plays teenage ballad singer Tommy Adano, who refuses to sing rock ‘n’ roll and begins to lose his fans.
Tommy finally decides – with the help of his manager, Charlie (Conrad Janis) and aspiring songwriter Kathy Abbott (Phyllis Newman) – that he must express himself musically in the idiom of his generation.
The music soundtrack – featuring Paul Anka, Della Reese, The Royal Teens and Danny and the Juniors – is the only thing of any interest here, although there are also some nice shots of New York’s Central Park in the ’50s.
