This teen-orientated show from the BBC covered the contemporary scene in the Midlands and was hosted by local girl (and future punk superstar) Toyah Willcox and a number of Midlands DJs, including Chris Phipps in Birmingham and John Holmes in Nottingham.

Produced from the BBC’s Pepple Mill Studios, the show introduced segments covering music, films, fashion and youth culture in general, along with a local gig guide.

Bands who appeared live on the show included Duran Duran, The Beat, Dexys Midnight Runners, the Climax Blues Band, The Swinging Cats, The Selecter, Quartz, Black Sabbath, Two Wheels (a NWOBHM band), Diamond Head, Magnum, Neon Hearts, Delegation, Ruby Turner, and a host of local artists.
