Sump’n Else

A Dallas-based TV show featuring many local bands including The 13th Floor Elevators, big names like The Monkees, Paul Revere and The Raiders, Herman’s Hermits and The Righteous Brothers, and more obscure groups such as The Living End, The Changing Times, The Menerals and Southwest FOB.

The show was broadcast live in the afternoons by WFAA TV from a satellite studio inside a shopping mall – the NorthPark Center in Dallas – where shoppers could watch the show being filmed through a large picture window in the mall.

Ron Chapman hosted and the show also featured “The Little Group” dance troupe (originally Calleen Anderegg, Delpha Teague, Joan Prather and Kathy Forney).

Sump’n Else was first broadcast on 6 September 1965 and left the air on 26 January 1968.
