One day, while walking through an enchanted forest, a little boy named Blinkey is transformed into a marionette and transported to a magic land of puppets.
Stories related his adventures as he sought a way to become human again.
Other puppet characters included Bookworm, a pedantic and learned professor who operated a magic ‘Book-o-Mat’ which produced books of all kinds (pictured at top of page); Foggy the Bullfrog; the What Not Tree, the symbol of democratic authority in the magic land; Gargoyle, the assistant to the What Not Tree and superintendent of the Mighty Mixed Up Forest, and Harpy the Witch, the nemesis of all the other characters.
The series was created and written by author, educator and child psychologist Dr Lucille Emerick. The show was directed by Murray King.
