In this series, the sharp-witted snuff-taking Superintendent Lockhart of Murder Bag had been promoted to Detective Chief Superintendent and now worked on cases beyond mere murder investigations, although he remained so diligent and infallible in his pursuit of villains that he was quickly transferred to Scotland Yard and No Hiding Place.
Beyond his promotion, little had changed, and Lockhart relied as much as ever on his wits and powers of deduction to get the job done.
Two years later, Associated-Rediffusion revived the title Crime Sheet for a play starring Gerald Case as Chief Superintendent Carr.
