Set in LA and starring Richard Boone as Dr Konrad Styner, Medic was the first medical drama to be filmed in real hospitals – and the first to show the birth of a baby.
The theme tune, Blue Star, had lyrics added in 1955 and was recorded by Felicia Sanders with the Norman Leyden Orchestra and Eve Boswell With Glen Somers and his Orchestra.
