This BBC series of dramatised documentaries featured the work of an English detective agency and the fictitious private investigator John Unthank (Campbell Singer), with clients ranging from wealthy company directors to an official of the National Canine Defence League!
Written and produced by Arthur Swinson, the episodes featured the various cases of the polished Unthank as he tracked down the missing and the lost, unmasked the villainous, and cleaned out the corrupt.
Unthank’s team of regulars were played by Ursula Camm, Douglas Muir, Ian White and Allan McClelland.
Swinson carried out his research into areas of police procedure with the help of a group called the “Q-Men”, an organisation of ex-Scotland Yard detectives.
