    6 x 30 minute episodes

This was the first television series based on the legend of Robin Hood, making future Doctor Who Patrick Troughton the first actor to play the role on television.

The first episode, entitled ‘Gathering the Band’, showed Robin’s meeting with Little John, Friar Tuck, and Much the Miller’s son. He also met Alan-a-Dale and rescued Alan’s bride from being unwillingly married off.

Robin Hood was studio-bound with no outside filming.
