This syndicated Desilu sitcom was set at 857 Elm Street in River Glen, New Jersey, and featured bright and bubbly 9-year-old Alice Holliday (Patty Ann Gerrity) – the female equivalent of Dennis the Menace.
Alice meant well, but her good intentions always seemed to backfire.
Alice’s father was newspaperman Chester ‘Chet’ Holliday (Tommy Farrell) and her mother was Clarissa Mae (Phyllis Coates). Alice’s grandfather, ‘The Colonel’ (Lucien Littlefield) had been a Georgia peanut farmer.
Alice attended the River Glen Elementary School with her freckle-faced accomplice, Clarence ‘Soapy’ Weaver (Stephen Wootton) and Susan Gray (Nancy DeCarl).
