    7 x 30 minute episodes

This short-lived NBC sitcom – the last completely live prime time sitcom – starred Donald Cook as attorney Tom Blake.

Rounding out the cast were Joan Bennett as Tom’s wife, Mary; Brigid Bazlen as their 14-year-old tomboy daughter Pamela (who had just discovered boys), Martin Huston as her big brother Johnny, and Lorna Gillam as Pamela’s best friend Timmy Barnes.

The principal of Pam’s school was Mr Woodman (Victor Thorley).

Seven black & white episodes were broadcast live from New York on Thursday nights. Sponsors included Oldsmobile and General Foods.

A blatant piece of network promotion was visible in the Blake household – an NBC peacock screen took pride of place in the living room fireplace!
