“I am the Whistler. And I know many things for I walk by night. I know many strange tales hidden in the hearts of men and women who have stepped into the shadows. Yes, I know the nameless terrors of which they dare not speak.”
This psychological drama anthology presented stories of people who were caught in a destructive web of their own misdeeds.
The Whistler (Bill Forman) – identified by the mournful whistling of the theme music – was never seen but made observations throughout each episode.
Based on a popular radio series of the same title, The Whistler did not translate well to television and the stories were mostly hackneyed or implausible.
