18 x 30 minute episodes
This twice-weekly serial from BBC1 was based around the residents of an exclusive and fashionable block of apartments in London (at 199 Park Lane, natch).
Greek millionaires, politicians, top models and bankers paraded through the multiple storylines with all the various strands connected by snooping gossip column writer Tony Ashman (Philip Bond) on the prowl for a scoop.
Kate Harvester (Brenda Kaye) was the manageress of the luxury flats. Sergeant Baines (Geoffrey Toone) was the porter.
The high-powered residents included Ben Graham (Edwin Richfield), Stella Graham (Isabel Dean) and Lord Caister (Derek Bond). The creator and main writer was William Fairchild.
The series did not do well. It first aired on 1 August 1965 and was dropped two months later.
All 18 episodes were wiped by the BBC in the 1970s.
