Debuting in October 1960, this dramatic anthology series, hosted by John Conte, featured adaptations of stories that had been run in the Saturday Evening Post.
Stories included Treasury Agent, featuring treasury agents Don Kearns (Michael Higgins) and Paul Corbin (Richard Arlen) and their attempts to apprehend the infamous gangster Louis “Lepke” Buchalter (Joe Mell); The Baron Loved His Wife with Peter Lorre as a Viennese nobleman who attempts to trail a British agent despite the constant hindrance of his wife (Ingrid Goride); Off The Set with Vincent Price as ruthless stage father Roger Bauer who will stopat nothing to achieve success for his daughter, Trudy (Cheryl Callaway), and Frontier Correspondent, the story of a newspaper reporter from the eastern states (Bert Douglas) heading out West and trying to take a picture of Jesse James.
Stars of the other episodes included Buddy Ebsen, Martin Landau, Pat O’Brien, Edward Platt, June Lockhart and Dan O’Herlihy.
